Looking Girly

I'm going for a new look makeup-wise. I usually just throw on some mascara and lip balm and call it a day. Sometimes I wear a bright lip color when I'm feeling fancy. But I'm starting to think that having an actual makeup routine and the right products on hand will help me feel more put together each day. But what look should I go for?

I found these two via my "Pretty Lady" Pinterest board. I love the idea of a light and simple everyday look, and then bright blush and lips for a more dolled up girl. Or maybe I can come up with a way to combine the two! Stay tuned ...

  1. Go to Sephora and get one of the dudes there to help you. I have seen Keval and I think Ketal and they were both very good and knowledgable. This is the arboretum location. Anyway, I have nothing but good things to say about them and my awesome makeup!

    1. Cool! I secretly splurged and went to Saks to experience the Bobbi Brown counter. I've only heard amazing things. The makeup artists were so sweet and weren't pushy about purchasing everything. I bought a couple of $$ items (they have the most amazing concealer), but I think Sephora is definitely the spot for some of my other favorite things.

  2. oooo girl you opened up a can of worms. As kyle will tell you, I am a raging tom boy but I LOVE experimenting with make up. I love bare minerals for eye shadow, blush, bronzer and powder. They have awesome every day stuff but also some glam colors. You can also turn most of their loose powder eye shadows into wet eyeliner which I do occasionally for the good ole cat eye or 60s mod eye liner.

Buxom has awesome lip colors too...

I could go on for days. I use pinterest for a lot of make up inspiration.
