Magazine Party Look

Last week I went stag to a little magazine party at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, which is a great Austin venue for parties and such. I wanted to put together a little outfit that was comfortable and party-esque with out being too "party girl."

I picked up this cute two-tone skirt a couple of weekends ago and this event was the perfect opportunity to break it in. The black booties added to the party look I was going for, and a few brassy, gold pieces added a little sparkle. I was slightly hesitant to add my favorite blazer because it's unbelievably warm outside, but I wanted to finish off the look with that classic piece.

This is my "sup?" face:

  3. I totally agree. I'm in Houston so I hear your heat pain, but the blazer totally pulled together the outfit. Love it!

Hope you have a wonderful day, Love.

  5. I love the skirt and I think you look adorable. I'm glad you put the blazer. Though I agree with you. I live in memphis TN and its not much better as far as the heat goes. My go to party look is definitely sequins or a full skirt. I can't help it. I am that girl.

  7. 'Sup? I love the colors, and the blazer is making me think I might be on the right track in my recent blazer machinations....I hope you oogled some silly bachelors at the party, too!

  8. Sup, ladies?!? Thanks for the comments! I had so much fun wearing this skirt. And the pumps are super fun (they start to make my feet ache only after a couple of hours or so), but I love them!

Laurel - the bachelors were definitely silly. I felt a bit awkward being there as I won't be a bachelorette much longer, but it was still fun.
